The environment is an essential part of the creation of human character. However, in addition to creating a character, it is crucial for students to immediately become independent human beings. So, they are no longer dependent on their parents. Therefore, while studying, students should not hesitate to immediately find a job to pay for their studies and become independent quickly. This was the message from SD Darmono, the founder of Jababeka Group and President University (PresUniv), to all new students batch 2021 at the Founder's Talk event Friday (3/9).

Handa S. Abidin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., Vice Rector for Academics and Student Affairs, President University (PresUniv), was appointed as a member of the Ethics Committee of the Asosiasi Fintech Pendanaan Bersama Indonesia (AFPI). AFPI is an organization that accommodates Fintech Peer to Peer (P2P) Lending business players in Indonesia with a total of more than 100 companies that have become members in just three years after it was founded.

The family business is like a giant tree that brings water and gives life to small trees. However, if the tree is too shady, it will block the sunlight needed by the small trees, so they cannot grow properly and become big. This is a dilemma for family businesses to make their business sustainable from generation to generation. Many students want to get scholarships abroad but are still confused about preparing their English skills. To answer this question, President University (PresUniv) held a casual talk entitled "English Tests Prep for Scholarships: Fulbright & LPDP" through the Clubhouse application, Friday (27/8). This casual talk presented Ani Pujiastuti, Ph.D., Head of Center for Language and Culture (CLC) PresUniv who is also an alumnus of Fullbright scholarship, Ohio State University, USA, and Yogi Saputra Mahmud, S.Pd., M.TESOL, lecturer of Primary School Teacher Education (PSTE) PresUniv and recipient of Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP) scholarship at Monash University, Australia.

The workshop, which was held online, presented Prof. Dr. Ir. Sugiarto, M.Sc., a statistician from Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, as a speaker. According to Sugiarto, experimental design is a useful tool for completing case studies. "This experimental research is a study with certain controlled conditions so that one or several variables can be monitored to test hypotheses," he said.

The best way to learn English is by learning by doing. That is why President University (PresUniv) implements a 100% English lecture system. However, not all students are fluent in English. To help the new students of PresUniv batch 2021 become fluent in English, the Pre-University program on day 3, Wednesday (25/8), presented speakers who shared tips on how to master English. They are Yasser Muhammad Syaiful, Country Head at ELSA (English Language Speech Assistant), Ani Pujiastuti, Ph.D., Head of Center for Language and Culture (CLC) PresUniv, and Dennis Danish or commonly known as Guruku Mr.D, a YouTuber from Los Angeles, United States of America.

Monday (23/8), President University (PresUniv) held a Pre University event. This is an event to welcome the arrival of new students in 2021. As one of a series of events, in collaboration with Tes Minat Bakat, PresUniv holds tests that include student aptitude tests, college majors tests, career tests, and HR recruitment assessments. All tests use the academic digital platform. In addition, the Talent Interest Test also held workshops & training, student workshops, teacher workshops, parenting seminars, collaborative, interactive seminars.
