Student Affairs Bureau, President University (PresUniv), held Pembekalan Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM), Friday (11/2). PKM is a program of the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa), Directorate General of Higher Education (Dikti), Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud), with the aim of rewarding students in the form of incentives for their creative ideas and innovations submitted in a proposal. This proposal will be selected to participate in the Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa Nasional (PIMNAS).
Prof. Dr. Totok Sumaryanto Florentinus, expert staff of the President Research Center (PRC) as speakers on this event. This event was attended by 280 students and lecturers. According to Prof. Totok, PKM functions as a forum for improving the quality of higher education graduates. "The quality of graduates consists of academic knowledge, communication skills, management skills, and skills of thinking. These skills must be possessed by students if they want to become graduates who are professional and have character," he said. He emphasized, if you lack one skill it will reduce the quality of graduates.
Donald Samuel Slamet Santosa, Head of the Student Affairs Bureau PresUniv, said that student affairs bureau has prepared special programs, such as training and appreciation. "We hope that this event can increase student interest in joining PKM. This also will improve PresUniv's student rankings," he said. There are five types of PKM that can be proposed, namely PKM-Riset, PKM-Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat, PKM-Karya Cipta, PKM-Kewirusahaan, PKM-Penerapan IPTEK and PKM-Karya Tulis. PresUniv Bekali Mahasiswa untuk PKM
Biro Kemahasiswa, President University (PresUniv), mengadakan pembekalan Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM), Jumat (11/2). PKM adalah program dari Direktorat Pembelajaran dan Kemahasiswaan (Belmawa), Ditjen Pendidikan Tinggi (Dikti), Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemdikbud), dengan tujuan memberikan penghargaan kepada mahasiswa dalam bentuk insentif atas ide-ide kreatif dan inovasi mereka yang diajukan dalam sebuah proposal. Proposal ini akan diseleksi dan lolos ikut serta pada Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa Nasional (PIMNAS).
Materi pembekalan disampaikan oleh Prof. Dr. Totok Sumaryanto Florentinus, staf ahli President Research Center (PRC) serta diikuti oleh 280 mahasiswa dan dosen ini. Menurut Prof. Totok, PKM berfungsi sebagai wadah untuk meningktakan mutu lulusan Perguruan Tinggi (PT). “Mutu lulusan itu terdiri dari academic knowledge, communication skill, management skill, dan skill of thinking. Ini harus dimiliki jika mahasiswa ingin menjadi lulusan yang profesional dan berkarakter,” ungkapnya. Ia menegaskan, kalau kurang satu skill saja akan menurunkan mutu lulusan.
Donald Samuel Slamet Santosa, Kepala Biro Kemahasiswaan PresUniv, mengatakan bahwa pihaknya telah menyiapkan program khusus, seperti pelatihan dan apresiasi. “Kami berharap pembekalan ini dapat meningkatkan ketertarikan mahasiswa untuk ikut PKM. Ini pada gilirannya akan meningkatkan peringkat kemahasiswaan PresUniv,” katanya. Ada lima jenis PKM yang dapat diusulkan, yaitu PKM-Riset, PKM-Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat, PKM-Karya Cipta, PKM-Kewirusahaan, PKM-Penerapan IPTEK dan PKM-Karya Tulis.
