What's happening in PresUniv
The International Relations Study Program (IR), President University (PresUniv), held the 4th President Center for International Studies (PRECIS) webinar with the theme "The Future of Islamic Politics in Indonesia and Southeast Asia", Saturday (12/12). This webinar presented PresUniv lecturers as speakers and was attended by academics and political issues and international relations’ observers.
From IR Study Program, three lecturers were the speakers, which are Fahlesa Munabari, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. M. Syafi'i Anwar, Ph.D., and Witri Elvianti, S.IP., MA. The three of them discussed Islam from the perspective of universal ideology and how it applies to politics. Fahlesa said, "The future of Islamic politics depends on many things. One of them is the political dynamics that occur in the country. "
Meanwhile, Communication Study Program presented two speakers, which are M. Raudy Gathmyr, S.Sos., M.Si., who is also the Head of Communication Study Program, and Achmad Supardi, S.IP., M.A. The two lecturers discussed the role of media in constructing news related to Islam, including the economic motives involved in it.
Prodi Hubungan Internasional Bahas Masa Depan Politik Islam
Prodi Hubungan Internasional (HI), President University (PresUniv), menggelar webinar President Center for International Studies (PRECIS) ke-4 bertema "Masa Depan Politik Islam di Indonesia dan Asia Tenggara", Sabtu (12/12). Webinar ini menampilkan dosen-dosen PresUniv sebagai pembicara dan dihadiri oleh kalangan akademisi serta pemerhati masalah-masalah politik dan hubungan internasional.
Dari Prodi HI, ada tiga dosen yang menjadi pembicara, yakni Fahlesa Munabari, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. M. Syafi’i Anwar, Ph.D., dan Witri Elvianti, S.IP., MA. Ketiganya membahas Islam dari sudut pandang ideologi universal dan bagaimana penerapannya dalam ranah politik. Kata Fahlesa, “Masa depan politik Islam bergantung pada banyak hal. Salah satunya adalah dinamika politik yang terjadi di negara tersebut.”
Sementara, dari Prodi Ilmu Komunikasi menghadirkan dua pembicara, yaitu M. Raudy Gathmyr, S.Sos., M.Si., yang sekaligus Kaprodi Ilmu Komunikasi, dan Achmad Supardi, S.IP., M.A. Dua dosen ini membahas bagaimana peran media dalam mengonstruksi pemberitaan yang terkait Islam, termasuk motif ekonomi yang ada di dalamnya.
