After going through an online assessment process on Wednesday-Thursday, 11-12 November 2020, Accounting Study Program, President University, finally received accreditation A from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). Maria Jacinta Arquisola, BA, MHRM, Ph.D, Dean of Faculty of Business, was delighted with this achievement. The hard work of the Accounting Study Program team seemed to have paid off. "This is an acknowledgment from the government that the education process in the Accounting Study Program is correct and able to produce qualified graduates," said Jacinta. Many alumni of the Accounting Study Program currently hold important positions in public accounting firms, such as KPMG, E&Y, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and well-known banks.
Said Andi Ina Yustina, M.Sc., Head of Accounting Study Program, accreditation A spurred her to continue to improve the quality of her education, including by adopting the concept of an Independent Campus. "For example, we are preparing Big Data Analysis in Accounting, in collaboration with other study programs," said Andi Ina.
Various collaborations have also been established to help Accounting Study Program students prepare for their careers. For example, with the Indonesian Public Accountants Association (IAPI) for Certified Public Accountants (CPA), and with the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes West Java II for the Tax Center. Jacinta said, "Apart from that, we will also start the process to get international accreditation for the Accounting Study Program in 2021." Bravo! (SD/JBS)
Prodi Akuntansi Raih Akreditasi A
Setelah melalui proses penilaian secara daring pada Rabu-Kamis, 11-12 November 2020, Program Studi Akuntansi, President University, akhirnya mendapatkan akreditasi A dari Badan Akreditasi Nasional-Perguruan Tinggi (BAN-PT). Maria Jacinta Arquisola, BA, MHRM, Ph.D, Dekan Fakultas Bisnis, sangat senang dengan capaian itu. Kerja keras tim Prodi Akuntansi seakan terbayarkan. “Ini adalah pengakuan dari pemerintah bahwa proses pendidikan di Prodi Akuntansi sudah benar dan mampu menghasilkan lulusan yang berkualitas,” tegas Jacinta. Banyak alumni Prodi Akuntansi yang saat ini menempati posisi penting di kantor akuntan publik, seperti KPMG, E&Y, PricewaterhouseCoopers, dan bank ternama.
Kata Andi Ina Yustina, M.Sc., Kepala Prodi Akuntansi, akreditasi A melecutnya untuk terus meningkatkan kualitas pendidikannya, termasuk dengan mengadopsi konsep Kampus Merdeka. “Misalnya, kami siapkan Big Data Analysis in Accounting, berkolaborasi dengan prodi lain,” ungkap Andi Ina.
Berbagai kerja sama juga dijalin guna membantu mahasiswa Prodi Akuntansi mempersiapkan kariernya. Misalnya, dengan Ikatan Akuntan Publik Indonesia (IAPI) untuk Certified Public Accountant (CPA), dan bersama Kanwil Ditjen Pajak Jawa Barat II untuk Tax Center. Kata Jacinta, “Selain itu, kami juga akan memulai proses untuk mendapatkan akreditasi internasional untuk Prodi Akuntansi pada 2021.” Bravo! (SD/JBS)
