ICFBE 2020: Emerging Research and Insights on Entrepreneurship and Family Business in Green Economies
On October 26, 2020, President University held its annual event, the International Conference on Family Business & Entrepreneurship (ICFBE), with the theme "Emerging Research and Insights on Entrepreneurship and Family Business in Green Economies". This international conference was held online in collaboration with Dhayana Pura University, Bali. The event was attended by around 150 participants from 21 universities and several countries, such as Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, North Korea, Denmark, and Brunei Darussalam.
The theme "Emerging Research and Insights on Entrepreneurship and Family Business in Green Economies" was chosen because environmental issues have recently become a special concern not only in Indonesia but also throughout the world. The large number of products that are not environmentally friendly, such as those made from plastic, have created piles of waste due to the long recycling process. This theme also following the President University research roadmap, that is Green Technology and Sustainability. The Business Faculty as the organizer then specifically raised the theme Green Business. This is a form of concern for the environment and increasing awareness of researchers and entrepreneurs.
This year's international conference also has several sub-themes, which are Studies on COVID 19 Socio-economic and Business Impacts, Sustainability of Family Business, Family Succession Planning and Challenges, Fintech and Sustainable Business, Green Entrepreneurship, Green Tourism and Hospitality, Green Human Resources Management, and Green Marketing and Retail Management. This international conference began with an opening session with material from three special speakers. They are Assoc. Prof. Ambika Zutshi from Deakin University Australia, Prof. Dr. Faridah Hj. Hassan from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, and Kevin Kumala, Ph.D., as Chief Green Office of PT. Avan. The speakers are those with experience in the green economy. (SD)

Pada 26 Oktober 2020, President University kembali mengadakan acara tahunannya, yaitu International Conference on Family Business & Entrepreneurship (ICFBE), dengan tema "Emerging Research and Insights on Entrepreneurship and Family Business in Green Economies". Konferensi internasional ini diadakan secara daring yang pelaksanaannya bekerjasama dengan Universitas Dhayana Pura, Bali. Acara ini dihadiri oleh sekitar 150 peserta dari 21 universitas dan beberapa negara, seperti Indonesia, Filipina, Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Korea Utara, Denmark, dan Brunei Darussalam.
Tema "Emerging Research and Insights on Entrepreneurship and Family Business in Green Economies" dipilih karena masalah lingkungan hidup akhir-akhir ini telah menjadi perhatian khusus tidak hanya di Indonesia, namun juga seluruh dunia. Banyaknya produk yang tidak ramah lingkungan, seperti berbahan plastik, membuat timbunan sampah yang menumpuk karena proses daur ulangnya yang lama. Tema ini juga sesuai dengan roadmap penelitian President University, yaitu Teknologi Hijau dan Keberlangsungan. Fakultas Bisnis sebagai penyelenggara kemudian secara spesifik mengangkat tema Bisnis Hijau. Hal ini sebagai bentuk kepedulian terhadap lingkungan hidup dan meningkatkan kesadaran para peneliti dan entrepreneur.
