In collaboration with ATMI Polytechnic Cikarang, President University held the Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) Programming practicum at ATMI Cikarang on Wednesday (11/20).

The Head of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program of President University Dr. Eng. Lydia Anggraini, S.T., M.Eng. explained that this practicum was carried out to provide practical work experience in CNC milling machines as design applications, numerical methods, and NC programming that the theories have been taught on the university since the first semester.

This practicum was participated by students of batch 2017 who have to take part in the internship program next year and students who are taking CNC programming class. “We try to improve students’ hard skills and experience in using the automatic program in CNC machines way long before they enter the professional world so that the mechanical engineering graduates or student interns have strong analytical skills, highly expert, and ready to work,” Lydia explained.

On this occasion, students learn the entire process of using a CNC milling machine, starting from the workpiece design process with integrated CNC machine software, managing the manufacturing process to process the workpiece that has been designed, connecting it through the command language as the main point in CNC learning, to the operation of the CNC machine itself.

Last Wednesday's practicum was only the beginning, it was planned that the practicum would continue for approximately 1 month until the end of this semester. (SL)

Mahasiswa Mesin Teknik President University Siap Kerja dengan Laksanakan Praktikum CNC Programing

Bekerja sama dengan Politeknik ATMI Cikarang, President University melaksanakan praktikum Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) Programming di ATMI Cikarang pada Rabu (20/11).

Kepala Program Studi Teknik Mesin President University Dr. Eng.

(SL)
