In order to obtain input from President University alumni users and students, the President Development Center (PDC) and the Internship and Career Center (ICC) of President University held a focus group discussions (FGD) with a number of companies entitled "Strengthening Engineering Competency in Industry 4.0 Era" at the President Executive Club, Cikarang (11/13). The FGD was attended by the Faculty of Engineering President University where the Dean Dr.-Ing. Erwin Sitompul, M.Sc, as well as all heads of study programs from each study program in the faculty were present. In addition to the President University and the companies, the FGD was also attended by a number of alumni of the Faculty of Engineering President University who currently work in several well-known companies.
Erwin revealed that the FGD was important for curriculum composers in the Faculty of Engineering President University. "This FGD is important as a source of information on actual issues that happen in the industry and input from President University alumni and users, so that the curriculum and learning process at President University, especially at the Faculty of Engineering will always be relevant to what is needed by users or industry," he explained.
A number of companies presented in the FGD were PT Bekasi Power, Sinarmas Land, TNI Siber Indonesia, PT Shuangfei Electric Systems Manufacturing, PT SGMW Motor Indonesia, PT Multistrada Arah Sarana, Tbk, PT Multi Usage Indonesia, PT Avery Dennison Indonesia, PT. Preformed Line Products Indonesia, PT. Mattel Indonesia, PT Jotun Indonesia, PT Yasulor Indonesia, PT Ikigai Solusi Internasional, dan PT Adis Dimension Footwear. (SL/APW)
Fakultas Teknik President University Diskusikan Perkembangan Kompetensi Teknik di Era Industri 4.0
Untuk mendapatkan masukan dari para perusahaan pengguna alumni dan mahasiswa President University, President Development Center (PDC) dan Internship and Career Center (ICC) mengadakan focus group discussion (FGD) dengan sejumlah perusahaan berjudul “Strengthening Engineering Competency in Industry 4.0 Era” di President Executive Club, Cikarang (13/11). FGD ini diikuti oleh Fakultas Teknik President University di mana dekan Dr.-Ing. Erwin Sitompul, M.Sc, serta seluruh kepala program studi dari masing-masing program studi di bawahnya hadir. Selain President University dan para perusahaan, FGD ini juga dihadiri oleh sejumlah alumni Fakultas Teknik President University yang saat ini telah bekerja di beberapa perusahaan ternama.
Erwin mengungkapkan bahwa pelaksanaan FGD ini penting untuk penyusun kurikulum di Fakultas Teknik President University. “FGD ini penting sebagai sumber informasi isu-isu aktual dan masukan dari pengguna dan alumni President University, agar kurikulum dan proses pembelajaran di President University, khususnya Fakultas Teknik tetap relevan dengan apa yang dibutuhkan oleh pengguna atau dunia kerja,” jelasnya.
