The Bureau of Internship & Career Center (ICC), President University (PresUniv), conducted Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with various companies where PresUniv students and graduates do internships or work. This activity aims to evaluate and provide input on the performance of students and graduates from 16 study programs at PresUniv. The first FGD on Wednesday (10/11) was held for the International Relations Study Program, PresUniv, by inviting guest speakers Berlian Helmi, Dirjian Ideologi dan Politik Debidjianstrat Kedeputian Pengkajian, National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) RI, Suri Dyan Pratama, Recruitment Specialist PT Supernova Flexible Packaging, and Anthoni Nicholas, an alumnus of the International Relations Study Program PresUniv batch 2014 who is currently the Head of Team Coordinator, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN). The FGD was led by the Director of ICC, JB Susetiyo.

Berlian conveyed the criteria for interns and employees at Lemhannas. “We need people who are able to think critically, analytically, and based on knowledge. In addition, it is also necessary to be able to think holistically, comprehensively, and integrally, and must comply with the three main pillars of Lemhannas," he said. Meanwhile, Anthoni said that knowledge, including the ability in English that he got at PresUniv, helped him a lot at this time. He also found that in PresUniv students who are interning at KADIN. He then added a note for PresUniv students or graduates who want to work at KADIN, "In addition to being fluent in English and being able to do research, we also need those who master practical tools and their application."

Pratama from Supernova said that PresUniv students understand using basic excel formulas, but they need to upgrade it to an advanced level. He said Supernova would expand its business from B2B to B2C. So, explained Pratama, for the next two to three years, Supernova will need graduates who can read market trends, are creative, open-minded, and are experts in social media. As for Lemhanas, Berlian said that the profiles of graduates needed in the future are those who understand scenario planning, are advanced in digital communication, are knowledgeable about geopolitics, and are familiar with case study studies.
