Indonesia's Carbon Credit Potential for the World

A Carbon credit represents a one ton C02 equivalent reduction in Carbon emissions, the credit is issued once the reduction is verified and this can be traded on the carbon market. Currently, carbon credit are treated as a commodity. This credit can be produced from nature-based activities (eg reforestation) and technology based activities (eg carbon capture). The financing of these carbon credits enables carbon projects to become commercial projects. This was stated by Pandu Patria Sjahrir, Co-founder and President Commissioner of CarbonX, in a webinar entitled Potensi Karbon Kredit Indonesia untuk Dunia, Tuesday (21/6). This webinar was organized by President University (PresUniv) and hosted by Handa S. Abidin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs at PresUniv.

Biru Voice Holds a Roadshow to President Univ

Over the past 20 years, there have been many studies on the impact of particulate PM 2.5 (Particulate Matter) on human health. PM 2.5 is an air particle smaller than 2.5 microns (micrometers). In order to discuss PM 2.5, Biru Voice held a roadshow entitled Bersuara untuk Udara Bersih to President University (PresUniv), Tuesday (21/6). This event was presented by two speakers, namely Novita Natalia K, Community Manager at Bicara Udara and Prabu Setyaji, Data Analyst at Nafas. The online roadshow was hosted by Yogi Saputra Mahmud, S.Pd., M.TESOL, a lecturer in the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, PresUniv.

Communication Study Program President Univ Holds Corporate Communication Webinar

President University Communication Study Program (PresUniv) held a webinar entitled Career in Corporate Communications: The Naked Truth, Thursday (23/6). The webinar was delivered by Rizka Laksmi, Head of Communications at PT SAP Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. In this webinar, Rizka Laksmi conveyed the true facts about corporate communications which differ from the general perception of corporate communication, which is thought to be very glamorous with lots of parties and lots of connections.

ATMI Cikarang and President Univ Discuss Potential Cooperation

Politeknik Akademi Teknik Mesin Industri (ATMI) Cikarang team visited President University (PresUniv), Tuesday (21/6). This visit was a follow-up meeting after Monday (6/6) signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). During this visit, various potential collaborations in various fields between PresUniv and ATMI were discussed, especially those related to the Tri Dharma of higher education. Several potential collaborations were discussed, including cooperation in the field of research, the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program, and accreditation assistance.

To support the development of millennial and Gen Z groups in Indonesia, President University (PresUniv) held the Indonesia Content Creator Conference (ICCC) 2022. A total of 10 content creators attended and shared experiences, Saturday (18/6). They were Arfiana Maulina, Deris Nagara, Calista Fahira, Angelyna Victoria, Achintya Nilsen, Khalisha Cantara, Zhafira Aqyla, Tatjana Syafira, Zahid Ibrahim, and Olivina Maskan.

Faculty of Engineering President Univ Again Holds Technology and Science in Life Event

Sunday (12/6), the Faculty of Engineering, President University (PresUniv), again held Technology and Science in Life (TSL) 2022. TSL is a national Technology orientated Event targeted to high school students. The event featured a wide range of activities, such as a competition, webinar, and exhibition of projects. The event was  attended by high school students from all over Indonesia . For this webinar, TSL presented two speakers, namely Rahmat Hidayat, S.T., CEO of Innovative Technology at PT Mahakarya Innovation Bangsa, and Prof. Josaphat Tetuko Sri Sumantyo, Ph.D, Head of Department of Remote Sensing and Head of Division of Earth Environmental Science at Josaphat Microwave Remote Sensing Laboratory (JMRSL). This years the theme of the TSL was “ Altering the Better World with Innovative Technology & Science”.

President University (PresUniv) held the Indonesia Content Creator Conference (ICCC) online and offline (hybrid), Saturday (18/6). ICCC is a forum to support the development of millennial and gen-Z in Indonesia. ICCC featured 10 Indonesian content creators. Amongst them: 1) Arfiana Maulina, 2) Deris Nagara, 3) Calista Fahira, 4) Angelyna Victoria, 5) Achintya Nilsen, 6) Khalisha Cantara, 7) Zhafira Aqyla, 8) Tatjana Syafira, 09) Zahid Ibrahim, 10) Olivina Maskan. They provided materials and their applications for those who wish to develop their creative ideas through social media.

Students of International Relations Study Program President Univ 2nd Place at PSNMHII 2022, Discuss Educational Issues for Orang Rimba

Two International Relations (IR) students, President University (PresUniv), managed to achieve a proud achievement in the prestigious events. They are Shabil Syach Pachlefi and Gesckya Shalsabilla Dewi Wahyuni, IR students batch 2020, who won 2nd place with a final score of 83.0 at the Pertemuan Sela Nasional Mahasiswa Hubungan Internasional se-Indonesia (PSNMHII). Their scores are only 0.5 different from the University of Indonesia team who won 1st place. PSNMHII 2022 was held in Bandung, Monday to Friday (13-17 June 2022). The main theme was Quality of Education. Improving Inclusive Education in Indonesia with a total of more than 250 students participating from International Relations Study Programs throughout Indonesia.
