President University Students’ Achievements In International Relations Championship (IRON) 2019

Fitra Ariesta Wismaningrum, an International Relations student of President University snatched the second winner in International Relations Championship (IRON). Another satisfying achievement was also obtained by the debate team who become the third winner in the same championship. The team which consisted of Reynaldo Arya (Law 2018), Rey Abraham (International Relations 2018) and Rendy Utomo (International Relations 2015) debated about poverty, economic and the environment.

Predicting Compulsive Buying of Islamic Goods

The development of business, economic and management sectors are progressing rapidly that now its focus shift to issues of innovation, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, operations management, human resources, accounting, Islamic economics, banking, business, and other management. With that in mind, two President University lecturers of Management Study Program, Jhanghiz Syahrivar, S.E., M.M. and Dr. Ir. Chairy, S.E., M.M. composed a research paper entitled “The Role of Religious Commitment and Conspicuous Consumption in Predicting Compulsive Buying of Islamic Goods: A Case Study of Muslim Consumers in Indonesia”.

President University students attended a guest lecture held at the Russian Center of Science & Culture this morning (10/21). In this guest lecture, the Russian Ambassador to Indonesia H. E. Lyudmila Vorobieva was present to give a comprehensive insight about the diplomatic relationships between Indonesia and Russia in all sectors. She mentioned that Indonesia and Russia will commemorate 70 years of diplomatic relations in February 2020. For this long period of time, there were a lot of meaningful events happened and these events have contributed to the establishment of a close relationship between the two countries.

Alternative Fuel from Municipal Waste in Cement Industry

The impact of global warming become more apparent since the world is currently experiencing an increase in greenhouse gases (GHG) due to human activities especially in fossil fuel combustion from various industrial processes. In this case, the cement industry is one of the industries that produce a huge amount of GHG emissions from burning coal fuels and calcining cement raw materials.  Hence, it is necessary to find a new fuel alternative to solve such an issue.
