President University (PresUniv) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Esri Indonesia, a geospatial technology provider, Tuesday (26/1). The MoU signing ceremony which was held online by the Chancellor of PresUniv, Prof. Dr. Jony Oktavian Haryanto, with Esri Indonesia's CEO, Dr. Achmad Istamar, attended by the Director of PT Jababeka Infrastruktur (JI), Tjahjadi Rahardja, and the entire PresUniv academic community.
Prof. Jony said in his crisis, "I hope that with this MoU, the ability of PresUniv students to use big data, especially ArcGIS geospatial technology, will be more honed." Meanwhile, Achmad Istamar hopes that the academic community can utilize the geospatial technology from Esri Indonesia at PresUniv to develop scientific works and applications. "Hopefully, through this collaboration, PresUniv, and Esri Indonesia can contribute to solving the challenges in Indonesia, namely the recovery of the economic crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic," said Achmad Istamar.
The MoU signing event ended with a webinar session discussing the use of ArcGIS geospatial technology. This webinar presented two speakers, namely Tjahjadi Rahardja and Citra Hasana Sagala, Data Scientist of PT Esri Indonesia. "With ArcGIS, JI can get the infrastructure in the Jababeka industrial area. This kind of information is essential, because it helps us to improve service quality and make quick decisions, "said Tjahjadi in his sharing. (Lita Gabriella, PR team)
PresUniv Tandatangani MoU dengan Esri Indonesia
President University (PresUniv) menandatangani Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dengan PT Esri Indonesia, perusahaan penyedia teknologi geospasial, Selasa (26/1). Acara penandatanganan MoU yang digelar secara daring ini dilakukan oleh Rektor PresUniv, Prof. Dr. Jony Oktavian Haryanto, dengan CEO Esri Indonesia, Dr. Achmad Istamar, dengan dihadiri oleh Direktur PT Jababeka Infrastruktur (JI), Tjahjadi Rahardja, dan segenap civitas academica PresUniv.
Kata Prof Jony dalam sambutannya, “Saya berharap dengan adanya MoU ini, kemampuan mahasiswa PresUniv dalam menggunakan big data, khususnya teknologi geospasial ArcGIS, akan semakin terasah.” Sementara, Achmad Istamar ingin agar teknologi geospasial dari Esri Indonesia dapat dimanfaatkan oleh civitas academica di PresUniv untuk mengembangkan karya-karya ilmiah dan penerapannya. “Semoga melalui kerja sama ini, PresUniv dan Esri Indonesia dapat ikut berkontribusi dalam menyelesaikan tantangan yang dihadapi Indonesia, yakni pemulihan krisis ekonomi akibat pandemi Covid-19,” kata Achmad Istamar.
Acara penandatanganan MoU diakhiri dengan sesi webinar yang membahas tentang penggunaan teknologi geospasial ArcGIS. Webinar ini menghadirkan dua pembicara, yakni Tjahjadi Rahardja dan Citra Hasana Sagala, Data Scientiest PT Esri Indonesia. “Dengan adanya ArcGIS, JI dapat memantau kondisi seluruh infrastruktur yang ada di kawasan industri Jababeka. Informasi semacam ini penting, karena membantu sangat kami dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan dan cepat mengambil keputusan,” ungkap Tjahjadi dalam sharing-nya. (Lita Gabriella, tim PR)
