What's happening in PresUniv

Published: 30 Aug 2023

During the last week of August 2023, around 2.000 new President University (Presuniv) students underwent a moving-in and orientation period that is part of the President University Leadership Program (PLP). Moving in is a program that aims to prepare students to acclimate to life together in a dormitory for at least one year. This is a mandatory program for all Presuniv students. Meanwhile, the orientation period aims to make students more familiar with campus life, which is certainly different from that of high school.

Friday, 25 August 2023, the PLP program for all students officially ended. The official closing of the PLP program was carried out in a ceremony that was held on the forecourt of the President University Convention Center (PUCC). Acting as the ceremony inspector at the closing of the PLP, the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Chairy. Present at the closing of the PLP program were Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Handa S. Abidin, SH. L.LM, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Human Resources Maria Jacinta Arquisola, BA, M.HRM, Ph.D., and the deans from various faculties. The PLP closing ceremony was symbolically marked by the awarding of a certificate from Prof. Dr. Chairy to student representatives.

According to Handa S. Abidin, PLP was designed as a concrete step from Presuniv's tagline: Where tomorrow's leaders come together. "During about three years of studying at Presuniv, we not only educate all students to excel academically but also prepare them to become leaders for Indonesia's future. We hope they can become leaders at various levels in business, community, and government organizations," said Handa. (JB Susetiyo, PR team. Photo: JB Susetiyo).
