The Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Computer Science, President University (Presuniv), collaborated to hold the International Conference on Sustainable Engineering and Creative Computing (ICSECC) on Monday and Tuesday, December 26 and 27, 2022. This is the fourth year that the two faculties have held an international conference, collaborating with the IEEE Indonesia CSS/RAS Joint Chapter. At the virtual international conference, the Rector Presuniv, Prof. Dr. Chairy, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Presuniv, Rila Mandala, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Presuniv, Dr.-Ing. Erwin Sitompul, M.Sc., and Arjon Turnip, Ph.D., Chairperson of IEEE Indonesia, were present.

In his remarks when opening the conference, Chairy revealed that the first conference of 2019 was held offline in Bandung. "However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the conference was then held virtually, including for 2022. I hope next year's conference can be held offline, or at least as a hybrid.” Fransiska Rachel, Chair of the ICSECC 2022 Organizing Committee, who is also Head of the Visual Communication Design Study Program at Presuniv, said that at this event, the committee received 93 submissions from various countries in the world.

This time, the 4th ICSECC presented keynote speaker Van Vung Pham, Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Sam Houston State University, United States of America, who is also an alumni of the 1st batch of Presuniv. As the keynote speaker, Vung Pham presented material on Recent Advances in Deep Learning for Computer Vision. Apart from that, in various follow-up sessions, this conference discussed various important issues in sustainable engineering and creative computing, such as intelligent systems; computer graphics and image processing; bioengineering and biomedical engineering; communication, networking, and broadcasting; photonics and electro-optics; power, energy, and industry applications; robotics and control systems; signal processing and analysis; and many more. The materials were explained by various speakers in the following sessions. (JB Susetiyo, PR team. Photo: Doc. ICSECC)
