What's happening in PresUniv
The IAMCR promotes media and communications research worldwide, addressing socio-political, technological, policy and cultural processes. The organization exists in more than 100 countries and has 2,800 members consisting of both individuals and institutions. This was stated by M. Raudy Gathmyr, Head of the Communication Study Program, President University (Presuniv), at the Regional Deliberation (Musyawarah Wilayah or Muswil V), Association of Communication Studies Universities (Aspikom) Jabodetabek Regional Coordinator, Wednesday (26/10) week then in Jakarta. IAMCR stands for International Association for Media and Communication Research.
The Muswil activity was attended by 101 Communication Study Programs from various universities in Greater Jakarta. There were several activities carried out simultaneously at the event, namely seminars and the launch of an anthology book entitled Embracing Variety of Excellent Accreditation Achievements in Era 5.0, as well as the election of the General Chairperson of the Aspikom Korwil Jabodetabek for the 2022-2025 period.
At the Muswil, Raudy presented materials on the topic of Building Relationships at the International Level: Utilizing the IAMCR Global Network. Raudy said, “This association has two strengths. Firstly, its members consist of experienced academics and professionals. Secondly, the members are diverse both in terms of cultural origins and geographical locations.” Raudy said, all Aspikom members need to take advantage of these advantages to improve the performance of the association and all its members.
