Head of Communication Study Program, President University (Presuniv), M. Raudy Gathmyr, S.Sos., M.Sc., was a speaker at a video conference organized by Sputnik, Russia's global news agency and radio service. The conference was held on Thursday (20/10) and also attending was the President of the Internet Publishers' Association, who is also a member of the Human Rights Council and Environmental Council of St. Petersburg, Russia, Ivan Zassoursky. The conference on The Science Space of Russia-ASEAN: New Challenges and Opportunities discussed further cooperation between Russia and ASEAN countries. Among them, are scientific dialogue and education on development prospects, the importance of scientific communication in promoting Russian-Asian innovation cooperation.

On this occasion Raudy emphasized the area of cooperation in the field of scientific and technology. This is in line with Ivan Polyakov, Chairman of the Russia-ASEAN Business Council, who highlighted the business that in addition to economic cooperation, the ASEAN-Russia community also supports mutual collaboration in promoting scientific and technological solutions for climate action and digital transformation. Raudy also quoted Satvinder Singh, Deputy Secretary General of the ASEAN Economic Community, who added that the 2022 ASEAN-Russia Year of Scientific and Technical Cooperation (ARYSTC) 2022 will further enhance bilateral cooperation and collaboration in scientific, technological and capacity building exchanges, including on food safety and health issues.

Raudy explained the practices that can be carried out in the cooperation from an Indonesian perspective. First, the exchange of scientists and researchers through academic exchanges of lecturers and students between educational institutions in ASEAN and Russia. Second, strengthen and enhance joint research and development activities. According to Raudy, assistance in the form of technical and financial matters, especially for private universities, would be highly appreciated. He also hopes that the exchange program for lecturers or students in the context of research can become a serious concern in ASEAN-Russia cooperation in the scope of cooperation.
