What's happening in PresUniv
Thursday (11/11), the Bureau of Internship & Career Center (ICC), President University (PresUniv), again held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with various companies where students and graduates of PresUniv interned or worked. This second FGD was conducted for the Communication and Law Study Program by presenting three speakers, namely Mahardikha K. Sardjana, partner at the law firm Hadiputranto Hadinoto & Partners (HHP), Fahmi Abidin, Digital Marketing Section Head and Managing Director of IDX Channel, and Rio Prambudi, HR Talent and Development PT Cinemaxx Global Pacific. The FGD was guided by the Director of ICC, JB Susetiyo.
Mahardhika revealed the need for students to have a global mindset to work in global-class organizations. Furthermore, he found this phenomenon in PresUniv students who were interns at HHP. “This ability is rarely found in students from other universities. This is reflected in how he makes presentations that are easy to understand for everyone from various countries and backgrounds,” explained Mahardhika. Prambudi Rio agreed. He said, “The global mindset is evident in PresUniv students. Besides speaking English, they are also always eager to learn and look for new challenges.”
Rio also said that Cinemaxx would need graduates to analyze data for the next two to three years. "All departments at Cinemaxx will urgently need this capability," he added. Meanwhile, Fahmi said that speed, accuracy, and adversity quotient are personal abilities that must be possessed to work in the media. “PresUniv students who are interns at IDX Channel already have speed and accuracy. The only thing that still needs to be developed is its adversity quotient,” he said. (Gilang Suryanata, PR team. Photo: Gilang)
