What's happening in PresUniv

Indonesia is known as an agricultural country because most of its population works in the agriculture sector. However, there are many farmers in Indonesia whose lives are still less prosperous. It became one of the topics in the “Sustainable Campaign in Start Up” webinar organized by SetSail BizAccel President University (PresUniv) together with TaniHub, Wednesday (15/9). The speaker who attended the webinar was Her Sanyoto, Head of Partnership and Social Impact of TaniHub. Sanyoto hopes that explaining what TaniHub has done to farmers in Indonesia can inspire and motivate PresUniv students who are developing their own Start-Ups.

In his presentation, Sanyoto mentioned one of the problems faced by farmers in Indonesia, which is the massive import of fruits. In fact, the quality of domestic fruit itself can compete. According to him, many people uttered the problem, but only a few took the initiative to find a solution. "Based on that problem, Tanihub was finally created, aiming to create and develop agricultural ecosystems in Indonesia," he explained. In addition, Tanihub's other goal is to change the mindset of young people about agriculture so that they are willing to contribute to the development of agriculture in Indonesia. Because of this, Sanyoto emphasized to PresUniv students that TaniHub is always open to collaborate and find new ideas that can make farmers in Indonesia more prosperous.

Sanyoto also explained that TaniHub not only focuses on selling farmers' products but also creates a good business ecosystem in the agricultural sector. The method is to provide farmers with literacy on agriculture, finance, and technology, provide access to capital and assistance, and help market access so that farmers' products can be sold at the best prices. "Therefore, TaniHub continues to innovate to form the platforms in order to realize this ecosystem, such as TaniSquad, TaniPatriot, TaniTalk, TaniFund, TaniSupply, and many more," said Sanyoto. With such an ecosystem, TaniHub has fulfilled five of the existing 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): no poverty, good health and well-being, decent work and economic growth, responsible consumption and production, and climate action.
