What's happening in PresUniv

Thursday (19/8), the Internship and Career Center (ICC) Bureau, President University (PresUniv), held a webinar entitled "LinkedIn for Personal Branding and Networking", in collaboration with Kinobi. Kinobi is a platform that helps its users find a job, prepare before applying, or switch a job. This webinar was delivered by Benjamin Wong, Co-Founder & CEO of Kinobi, as a speaker. Through this webinar, PresUniv wanted to help their students maximize LinkedIn's use to make it easier for them to get the job they want in the future.

Benjamin, in his presentation, said that LinkedIn has many features that allow users to be actively involved in conversations and reproduce original content. He suggested that PresUniv students engage in conversation more often, reduce content containing links outside of LinkedIn, because such content will be difficult to get the reach, and maximize the golden hour. "Make sure the content that you upload can get a lot of comments and likes in the golden hour, which is the first hour after the content is uploaded," he said. According to Benjamin, this will make LinkedIn's algorithm detect that the uploaded content is actual and useful because it gets many likes and comments.

To be seen by recruiters, Benjamin added that uploaded content must have four aspects: surprising, factual, important, and relevant. He also encouraged PresUniv students to use LinkedIn to build their authority, collaboration, personal stories, and call-to-action. "With these four things, credibility will be built, and its uniqueness will also stand out," he explained. At the end of the webinar, Benjamin invited students to be brave to show off their abilities and achievements. According to him, many people have extraordinary abilities and achievements but fail to show them to recruiters. (Steven Chaniago. Photo: Steven).
