Thursday (8/9), PT Jababeka Tbk officially launched Correctio at an event that was held at the President University Convention Center. One of the events at Correctio's grand launching was a talk show entitled Creating a New Silicon Valley in Indonesia. This talk show featured several speakers, such as Prof. Dr. Chairy, Rector of President University (PresUniv); Tirta Wisnu Permana, Director of Pusat Inovasi Digital Industri (PIDI) 4.0; Shinji Kobayashi, President Director of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries; Jen Tan as President Director of Sembcorp Energy Indonesia; Anindia Rahmawati, Manager of Enterprise Solutions – Manufacturing, Logistics, and Transportation from Telkomsel; and Sofian Sibarani, founder of URBAN+.
The talk show was moderated by Agung Wicaksono, Managing Director of Jababeka Infrastruktur. This talk show discussed how each institution plays an essential role as the forerunners to the realization of Industry 4.0, Society 5.0, and Transit Oriented Development (TOD) in Jababeka, which is considered to be the perfect location for the creation of Silicon Valley in Indonesia. In this talk show, Tirta said, collaboration from the various stakeholders is needed to develop the New Silicon Valley. The stakeholder will participate and contribute actively through PIDI 4.0 framework in order to accelerate industrial transformation. Then, what is the role of PresUniv? PresUniv role is to create excellent Human Resources (HR).
Prof. Chairy said that PresUniv has four programs for creating excellent HR. First, PresUniv has an international atmosphere supported by students and lecturers from various countries. Second, since its establishment, PresUniv has required its students to take part in an internship program. Third, PresUniv has seven flagship subjects. "With this flagship subject, we want to create human resources who have unique advantages," said Prof. Chairy. Lastly, PresUniv also has an entrepreneurship center plus.
