Often recruiters find an incomplete CV when reviewing the document. It is unfortunate if the applicant loses the opportunity to secure work just because of an incomplete CV. This was stated by Fillia Melinda Mais, Human Capital Supervisor of Autopedia in the 2022 Virtual Internship and Career Fair (VICF) organized by the Bureau of Internship & Career Center (ICC), President University (PresUniv), Monday (12/9). Autopedia is a subsidiary of the Triputra Group which is engaged in the automotive sector. Autopedia started from car and motorcycle auctions, moving on to buying and selling cars online, then providing data on car and motorcycle prices.

At VICF this time, Fillia gave tips and tricks to make an attractive CV. First, ensure personal information is entered correctly and always up to date, such as photo, name, phone number, and email. Next, detail your educational background. Starting from high school / vocational school to the last level of education. "Also write down the name of your university and major along with your GPA," said Fillia. The most important part of a CV, according to Fillia, is work experience that is made sequentially with a brief description of the experience. “If you are a recent graduate, you can also include your organizational experience while on campus. Don't forget to include your skills according to the position you are applying," She added.

Finally, said Fillia, use a design that is simple, professional, and easy to read. “The use of fonts also needs to be considered. Ensure you choose a font with clear legibility," She stressed. For the number of CV pages, Fillia suggests making a CV of only one page. “You are just one of hundreds or thousands of other CVs that recruiters read. So, a CV must be made concisely, straight to the point, and not long-winded,” She concluded. (Gilang Suryanata, PR team. Photo: Gilang)
