The development of interactive and practical online-based learning media is beneficial for teachers in improving the quality of distance learning. In order to help develop and make online learning more effective, the President University Major Association (PUMA) Primary School Teacher Education held a free workshop entitled “Efektivitas Nearpod dan Canva sebagai Media Pembelajaran Interaktif.” This workshop presented Citra Amalia M.Pd., HSG Gemilang teacher and Learning Media Community coach as a trainer.

This workshop was held for two days with different topics. The first day of the workshop on the use of Nearpod as an interactive learning media, Wednesday (14/7). This workshop aims to understand the features and use of nearpod and also the practice of using Nearpod in learning. Nearpod is one of the learning platforms that present student-teacher interactions that are pretty different. Citra emphasized that one of the keys in learning is variation. “As a teacher, sometimes we are too tired to give learning in that basic form. Now, we have many options that we can use in any form,” she said.

Citra explained that Nearpod presents a virtual room meeting where teachers can create a presentation containing images, text, videos, and even quizzes to be played together. Nearpod has several features, such as discussions with collaboration, learning materials in various forms, review quizzes, as well as 3D and virtual reality. “Many new features are also straightforward for us to explore. We do not have to use all of these features, but they are adjusted to the material and level," said Citra. Furthermore, Citra explained that Nearpod has three learning options: live, student pace, and live plus zoom. (Gilang Suryanata, PR team. Photo: Gilang Suryanata)
