A PARTY FOR THE END OF SEMESTER, BREAK IN THE DORMITORY

The night was especially dedicated to students who have worked so hard during the first two semesters of the academic year 2009/2010. The end of semester break night was also an awarding night for the “Rector’s Challenge Cup Sport Competition.” The competition was meant to encourage indoor and outdoor sportsmanship, and also to get students involved in the resident life leadership and management skills.
Prof. Dr. Ermaya Suradinata, SH, MH,MS - the Rector of President University, Mr. Sendy Wijaja, MBA – Vice Rector III, Mr. A.Suhartomo, M.Eng.Sc., MM., Ph.D – the Head of the Office of Resident Life, and lecturers, together with hundreds of students, attended the event.
The night kicked off with a short opening speech by the Rector of President University. He said he appreciated the students’ efforts not only in classes but also in other activities such as sport and dormitory management and supervision.

The long awaited moments came when the committee announced the winners of all competitions in the Rector’s Challenge Cup in different categories such as: music (band performance, dance, and choir), sport (table tennis, futsal, volleyball, basketball, badminton) and management (dormitory leadership and management).

The night was also meant to be a party night. It was the end of the semester break night when students enjoyed the food and beverages provided by the campus for free while being entertained by various performances such as band performances, dances, and choirs from the winners of the Rector Challenge Cup 2010.
The event was one of various events which were included in the master plan to build a student-central environment at President University.
