Student Exchange Program
10 Day historical Study tour to Indonesia.
Day One. Arrive at Jakarta airport. Travel by bus to President University’s modern dormitory complex. Check into your room, then meet the students from PU. Indonesians from all over Indonesia, plus students from many other countries. Eat and relax in Resto Plaza.
Day Two. Sightseeing with Indonesian students around Jababeka’s Industrial Estate, where many large multi-national and Indonesian companies have factories. Lunch at the Jababeka Golf and Country Club. Have dinner with PU students at Resto Plaza, pack and get ready to leave by bus for Bandungan.
Day Three. Walk around some of the nine temples and enjoy the mystic scenery. Depart in the afternoon for Magelang. Book into hotel. Dinner, relax.
Day Four. Take the short trip to the fabulously beautiful Buddhist temple named Borobudur. 2-3 hours there, then on to the other famous temple in the area, Prambanan. If time permits on to Yogyakarta for souvenir shopping in Jalan Malioboro. Back to hotel, dinner and rest.
Day Five. Depart early for Ambarawa Train Museum. Ride one of the old trains up the mountain and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Back on the bus and back to the PU dormitory.
Day Six. Cultural shopping experience in Jakarta. Visit the “Monumen Nasional” and the close by museum, then onto shopping at some of the many malls in Jakarta, including Pasar Grande, where there is an incredible variety of souvenirs from all over Indonesia, at realistic prices. If time permits, we can check out the nightlife in some of the nearby “Dens of Iniquity” in Blok M. Back to PU dormitory.
Day Seven. Depart for Ujung Kulon National Park. (http://www.tanjunglesung.com/act_park.html) This is Indonesia’s first national park, first declared by the Dutch government in 1921. It is home to the rare Javanese One Horned Rhinocerous, as well as other endangered animal and plant species. It is also close to some interesting islands, including the famous “Anak Krakatau” the island that was formed after the eruption of the volcano Krakatau in 1883.
Day Eight. Explore the many wonders of the area.
Day Nine. Return to PU dormitory, pack all your souvenirs, then rest up.
Day Ten. Bus to airport and back to OZ.





Breaking News
President University is starting a Student Exchange Program with Australian, American, and other Asian and Western Universities.
Our first program will be a one year diploma program entitled “The Indonesian Language and Cultural Studies Program.” International students participating in this program will learn, not only how to speak the Indonesian language fluently, but also Indonesian culture, including some traditional dances. They will also learn some about the fascinating history of Indonesia.
The university is also about to start a Study Tour Program so students from other universities will be able to visit many places of historical, and general interest in Indonesia. They will be escorted on these tours by selected PU Indonesian students. Please see the brochures on the website for more details of these programs.
