Cikarang, Indonesia—15 students of President University (PresUniv) awarded China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) scholarships delivered by its sub company, PT China Harbour Indonesia (CHI). The awarding ceremony took place in Charles Himawan Auditorium, President University (15/12). Awardees granted money of the total 100 million rupiah. The first category winner granted 20 million rupiah, two persons in the second category granted 10 million rupiah each, and 12 other participants in the third category granted 5 million rupiah. The scholarship is a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from PT China Harbour. The students were selected by their academic and non-academic achievements.
Wang Liping (Minister Consellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs of China Embassy in Indonesia), Liu Qihu (Chief Representative of China Harbour Engineering Company, Du Gui (Chief Representative of Qin Shan Industrial Park Company, Guo Xiaodan (Chief Representative of Power China), Liu Bo (Chief Representative of China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation), Dr. Agus H. Canny, M.A., M.Sc. (Vice Rector for Student and Alumni Affairs), Handa S. Abidin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D (Vice Rector for Communication and Partnerships) and approximately 60 students were coming to the event.
Agus Canny in his speech delivered his gratitude to China Harbour. “Since the past years, China Harbour is always giving real supports to President University,” Said Agus.
Furthermore, Wang Liping closed the event by a speech. He delivered his wish for more scholarship opportunity for students. “I hope someday the president of Indonesia could come from this university,” Stated Wang Liping.
Paulina from Management Study Programme, the first category winner of the scholarship stated that the CSR from CHI is one of appreciation forms toward excellent students. “In the future, I hope there will be more scholarships including non academic one. This could motivate to excel more,” Said Paulina. (SL)
Cikarang, Indonesia—Sebanyak 15 mahasiswa President University (PresUniv) menerima beasiswa China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) yang disalurkan melalui anak usahanya, PT China Harbour Indonesia (CHI). Penyerahan beasiswa dilaksanakan di Charles Himawan Auditorium, President University, Jumat (15/12). Para penerima mendapatkan uang tunai dengan total Rp100 juta. Pemenang kategori pertama mendapat uang tunai Rp20 juta, dua pemenang kategori kedua masing-masing mendapat Rp10 juta, dan 12 pemenang kategori ketiga masing-masing mendapat Rp5 juta. Beasiswa ini merupakan bentuk Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) dari CHI.

Abidin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D (Wakil Rektor Bidang Komunikasi dan Kerja Sama), sejumlah dosen dan staf, dan sekira 60 mahasiswa.
Agus Canny dalam sambutannya menyampaikan rasa terima kasihnya kepada China Harbour. “Selama beberapa tahun ini China Harbour selalu memberikan dukungan nyata kepada President University,” katanya.
Sementara, Wang Liping menyampaikan harapannya agar lebih banyak lagi mahasiswa yang menerima beasiswa. “Saya harap suatu saat presiden Indonesia bisa berasal dari kampus ini,” ungkap Wang Liping.
Paulina dari Program Studi Manajemen, pemenang pertama beasiswa, mengatakan bahwa program CSR CHI ini merupakan salah satu bentuk apresiasi terhadap mahasiswa berprestasi. “Ke depan saya berharap akan ada banyak lagi yang menerima beasiswa, termasuk beasiswa prestasi non akademik. Ini dapat memotivasi mahasiswa untuk lebih berprestasi,” ucap Paulina.
