Liswandi earned his PhD in Management from Universiti Selangor (UNISEL), Malaysia, and is a certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP). He has about 10 years of managerial experience as an operational manager, an executive program officer, and an executive HR officer. He also has about six years of experience as a trainer for several consulting agencies in the fields of HR and service excellence. He is also currently a national BKD/LKD assessor.

His teaching subjects are human capital management and strategic management. Besides teaching at the undergraduate level, he is also teaching in the Master of Management degree program and supervising several Master of Management students’ theses. Liswandi has also been invited to serve as an external examiner for doctoral degree candidacies from several overseas universities.

He has written several articles in accredited national (SINTA) and international journals in the field of human resource management. He has received several President's University grants for research and community services and was awarded the Most Favorite Management Lecture in 2020.

Liswandi's expertise is in Human Resources Management areas and Strategic Management. He also teaches the Principle of Management and Organizational Behavior at the graduate level.
