Prof. Ika Bali was appointed as a Professor in Structural Engineering on September 1st , 2011 in accordance with the Decree of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 72317/A4.3/KP/2011. He holds a Bachelor's degree at the Christian University of Indonesia, a Master of Engineering at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, and a Doctorate (Ph.D.) at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST). Some of the achievements he has received, NTUST First University Outstanding Youth Award in 2007 and Outstanding Lecturer Award (Rank 2), Private Universities Coordination (Kopertis III) for Jakarta Greater Area in 2013. One of the books he wrote is entitled: Low-Rise RC Shear Walls: An Analytical Study of Lateral Load-Deflection Curves and Its Application published by VDM Verlag Dr. Müller, Germany. Currently, he is Chairperson of the Alumni Foundation of NTUST. In conducting research, the main interest of Prof. Ika, covering behavior of reinforced concrete members, earthquake resistant RC structures, and concrete materials & technology.
