›He is a Sundanese who loves cooking, traditional arts and cultures. Born on 3 September, he completed his first degree at Padjadjaran University majoring in Communication Management in 1997 after he had completed his non-degree programme in English at the same university in 1993.

›He pursued his higher education at University of Wales Swansea in Social Development & Planning Management through British Chevening Award in 2001. Eigth years later he also studied Management at ARS International University. At the moment he’s planning to pursue his doctoral degree focusing on intercultural communication. BNSP (Indonesian Professional Certfication Authority) has certified him as an Intermediate-Level Public Relations practitioner. In addition to this, he is also a member of International Association of Media and Communication Research (IAMCR).

›His main research interests are Cultural Studies, Ethnography, Ethnography of Communication, Netnography and Public Relations. He used to teach communication studies at UIN SGD, UNPAD, and UPI. He has presented some papers on national and international conferences relating to his research passion: culture and art. Besides being the Head of Communication Studies department, He’s been the Chair of Garis Paksi (Pencak Silat Inheritance Institute) for two years. He has a special interest in preservation and development of the Indonesian martial arts since 1986.
