Internship Immersion Program

Immerse yourself with a prestigious internship at our renowned partner companies

The Internship Immersion Program (IIP) is an intensive internship program for students from President University (PresUniv)'s partner universities/institutions abroad who are interested in having their internship/on-the-job training in one of the growing list of multinational companies which have partnered with PresUniv.

The companies for the IIP are situated in Jababeka Industrial Estate or other strategic places within the Greater Jakarta area. Through this programme, student interns will have a valuable experience working for a multinational company in Indonesia; the largest emerging economy in South East Asia and a member of the prestigious G-20. Due to its international nature, potential applicants are not required to have any Indonesian language skill to join this programme, as long as they have fulfilled the minimum English proficiency requirements.

During the IIP, student interns will not only have internship experience but also the opportunity to take regular subjects at PresUniv, English for Business course, bahasa Indonesia class, cultural immersion activities, community service projects, and other immersion activities designed to enrich their skills, knowledge, and portfolio for their future career. President University will also assign one of our faculty members to act as a "supervisor" for every student intern, as well as an on-site supervisor from the company to monitor their progress.

At the end of the programme, student interns will have to prepare a final internship report and present their internship experience to our faculty members. This will ensure that the time spent during their internship placement at our partner multinational companies will be both valuable and worthwhile for everyone involved.

The Internship Program

The internship/on-the-job training program will run for around 4-6 months (depending on agreement) at PresUniv’s partner companies. To fully support and assist the student interns during their time in Indonesia, the Internship and Career Center (ICC) of President University will help to find the suitable job for every student participating in this program and assist them throughout the entire program. The normal office hour during weekdays for student interns is from 08.00 a.m. to 04.00 p.m., or depending on the respective company’s policy.

Academic Courses at PresUniv

As part of the IIP, student interns will be able to choose from a host of academic subjects being taught at PresUniv during the program. Please consult with the International Office or relevant department at PresUniv’s partner university for the list of available courses. At the end of the program, students will receive an official academic transcript from PresUniv and be able to convert the grades to the partner university.

Language and Business Ethnics Courses

The language and business ethics courses are optional programs conducted by the Professional Development Center (PDC) at PresUniv for IIP participants who want to improve their language skills and business competencies in a business setting. The PDC offers Bahasa Indonesia and Mandarin language and business ethics courses. The program will take place 3 to 4 times a week during weekdays after office hour.

Cultural Immersion

IIP participants will have a chance to visit several famous tourism spots, landmarks, and cultural attractions in Indonesia. For Example, Monumen Nasional (National Monument) and Kota Tua (Old Town) in Jakarta, Saung Angklung Udjo and Dusun Bambu in Bandung, Borobudur Temple in Magelang, and Prambanan Temple in Yogyakarta. Student may also get involved in various cultural activities such as traditional dance, martial arts, and making batik.

Community Development

As part of PresUniv’s program to empower local community around the campus, expose students to the underprivileged areas, and broaden their worldview and sense of belonging, the university has various community service projects. During their IIP period, student interns are invited to join our community development activities.
