Friday, 27 October 2023, Faculty of Medicine, President University (Presuniv), held a symposium on Vitamin D for Defense: Defend Your Immune, Your Health, and Your Future at the Charles Himawan Auditorium, Building A, 5th floor, Presuniv Campus at Jababeka Education Park, Cikarang, Bekasi. The symposium presented speakers Prof. Dr. Budi Setiabudiawan, dr., Sp.A(K), M.Kes, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Presuniv, and guided by dr. Edhyana Sahiratmadja, Ph.D., Head of the Medical Study Program. Present on occasion was the Chairman of the Presidential University Education Foundation, Prof. Dr. Ir. Budi Susilo Soepandji, DEA, Presuniv Rector Prof. Dr. Chairy, Vice Rector for Resources Maria Jacinta Arquisola, MHRM, Ph.D, lecturers and students of the Faculty of Medicine, Presuniv staff, as well as other guests.

At the same time, the private corporation, which is one of Indonesia's largest steel producers, is accepting applications from Presuniv graduates. Gunung Raja Paksi shared this information at the Virtual Internship and Career Fair (VICF) 2023 event hosted by the Internship and Career Centre Bureau of Presuniv on Friday, October 27, 2023. The Gunung Raja Paksi HRD team, including Jodi Harri Christy, Talent Acquisition Specialist and Employer Branding, Louis Deo Pratama, Talent Acquisition, and Sari Gracelia Siburian, Talent Acquisition and Branding Manager, attended the virtual event.
Continue ReadingOn Monday, 23 October 23 2023, Muhammad Sigit Andhi Rahman, Ph.D., presented the Community Service Activities (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat or PKM), which is collaborative project between President University (Presuniv), PT Muliaglass, and the Community Reading Garden Forum (Forum Taman Bacaan Masyarakat or FTBM) of Bekasi Regency, in front of postgraduate students of Environmental Engineering at Kitakyushu University, Japan. Sigit is a lecturer in the International Relations Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Presuniv. PKM project involves the collection of glass and bottle waste by the community which will then be used as raw materials by Muliaglass. "This activity aims to create a circular economy that impacts the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, waste, job creation, and, at the same time, raising environmental awareness among the community," explained Sigit. Starting in July 2023, this programme has successfully established three waste banks and collected around 42 tonnes of used glass bottles or cullets, which are processed by Muliaglass.

As for internships, there are various positions in the fields such as accounts payable, finance, data entry, commercial, and information technology."

Continue ReadingWizqi Parhab Guproni, a student from the Business Administration Study Program (Prodi), Faculty of Business, President University (Presuniv), participated in the 2023 International Student Science Forum, which was held on 6-8 October 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In this event, Wizqi collaborated with Farhan, a student at the Islamic University of Indonesia, and Amar from the University of Indonesia. They conducted research into the digital industry, especially the Internet of Things (IoT). "We created a system called Gallon Pump with an Automatic Sensor. This system operates like a regular pump but is equipped with an infrared sensor. "When an object approaches, the sensor will detect it and simultaneously start the machine to pump water in gallons," explained Wizqi.

Continue ReadingOn Monday, October 16, 2023, Muhammad Sigit Andhi Rahman, Ph.D., a lecturer in the International Relations Study Program at the Faculty of Humanities, President University (Presuniv), shared his stories on Islam and politics in daily life in Indonesia at the Talk Over Pizza event at the University of Kitakyushu (UKK), Japan. More than 30 participants took part in the event. Sigit stated, "Despite 89% of its population being of the Islamic faith, Indonesia is not an Islamic state. Indonesia is also not a secular state. With such conditions, it is no wonder that some experts refer to Indonesia as a religion-based country."
