Prof. Dr. Jony Oktavian Haryanto, Secretary of the President University Education Foundation (Yayasan Pendidikan Universitas Presiden or YPUP), was inaugurated as Expert Staff for Innovation at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi or Kemendikbud Ristek). The inauguration was carried out directly by the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Nadiem A. Makarim, on Tuesday (4/10). During the inauguration, Minister Nadiem asked Prof. Jony to oversee the transformation movement at the Kemendikbud Ristek by prioritizing innovations that are in accordance with the needs of the era. Minister Nadiem said, "Please open spaces for new collaborations for our educational institutions to create and innovate."
Continue ReadingRey Abraham, a student of the International Relations (IR) Study Program, President University (PresUniv), won two titles at the English Expo 2022, Saturday (17/9). This event was held by the Himpunan Mahasiswa English Student Association (HIMA ESA) Institut Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (IKIP) Siliwangi, Cimahi, West Java. This year, the English Expo was themed Bringing Brilliance in English as Language that Forms a Connection. In this event, Rey won first place in two of the competitions, namely speech and the news anchor competition.

This event was presented Prof. Ki-Chan Kim, Professor of Management at the Catholic University of Korea and Distinguished Professor at George Washington University. This event was hosted by Dr. Adhi Setyo Santoso, MBA, lecturer in Master of Technology Management, PresUniv. At this event, Prof. Kim revealed, learning Artificial Intelligence (AI) data analysis can be done in just five hours. How can this be accomplished?
Continue ReadingWith a mission to make the lives of people with disabilities easier through technology, Gilang Martadinata, a student of the Information Technology Study Program 2018, President University (PresUniv), developed an application called Teman Disabilitas (Disabled Friend ) (TeDi). This application is a capstone project for the Independent Program of the Independent Campus, Bangkit Academy 2022, organized by Google Indonesia. This application was developed with other team members, namely Najma and Julio Fahcrel (Padjadjaran University), Hazlan Muhammad Qodri (UPN Veterans Yogyakarta), Pratama Azmi Atmajaya (Telkom University), and Sang Bintang Putera Alam (Jember State Polytechnic). Of the 500 selected teams, TeDi qualified to become one of the top 15 teams moving forward to the incubation process.
Continue ReadingTwo students of Information Technology Study Program, President University (PresUniv), Abraham Pardomuan Naiborhu (batch 2020) and Gilang Martadinata (batch 2018), qualified in the top 25 graduates of the Bangkit Acedemy 2022 program. In 2022 this program included63,000 participants, only 1,300 participants passed, including Abraham and Gilang. On Tuesday (13/9), they were invited to attend the graduation ceremony of Bangkit Academy 2022 at the Directorate General of Higher Education (Ditjen Dikti) building, for being the 25 best graduates.

The two students, namely Dea Elita Triana, a student from the Accounting Study Program, and Indyla Bayu Pramesta Putri, a student from the Management Study Program. This years, Tedx President University event was entitled “The Art of Communication”. This years, Tedx event at President University aimed to improve the understanding and communications skills of the participants, both verbally and non-verbally.

One of the new resources, now available is access to the Springer e-Journal database. Springer provides a variety of high-quality content, including journals for lecturers, students, and researchers. To socialize this new capability, the Adam Kurniawan Library, PresUniv conducted a training event entitled "Training to use Springer Journal with an Expert" at the Charles Himawan Auditorium, PresUniv Campus, Thursday (15/9).
