Three Lecturers of President Univ Conduct PkM at SMK Bina Mitra

Three lecturers of President University (PresUniv), namely Bayu Imantoro, Head of the Legal Study Program, and two lecturers from the International Relations Study Program, Jeanne Francoise and Isyana Arslan, conducted Community Service (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat or PkM) activities, Friday (9/9) at the Vocational High School (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan) Bina Mitra, Cikarang, Bekasi. This PkM activity was a collaboration between PresUniv and PT Graha Buana Cikarang, a subsidiary of the Jababeka Group, which is engaged in the housing business.

Adam Kurniawan Library, President University (PresUniv), received a certificate of appreciation from the Institute for Higher Education Services (LLDIKTI) Region IV. This award was a form of appreciation for the participation and cooperation of the Adam Kurniawan Library to collect data on university library collections in the LLDIKTI Region IV digital library catalog.

CERDS, President Univ, Receives BUiLD Project Team Visit

Center of Environment, Disaster Resilience, and Sustainability (CEDRS), President University (PresUniv), received a visit from the Building Universities in Leading Disaster Resilience (BUiLD) team, Tuesday (30/8). The visiting team was led by Nadine Sulkowski, Senior Lecturer in Hospitality Management, University of Gloucestershire, as the project lead, and Paul Schober, Head of Information Technology, New Jersey Institute of Technology, United States. Also attending the visit were Handa S. Abidin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, and Fennieka Kristianto, S.H., M.H., M.A., M.Kn., Vice Rector for Resources, PresUniv.

Pre-University 2022: Master Vocabulary First in Learning English

Why do we need English? It is the international language and can act as bridge to understanding language. For example, when we go to Thailand and do not understand Thai we can’t communicate directly. On the other hand, Thai people do not understand Indonesian. So, we need a language that can bridge the gap and allow us to communicate with each other, namely English. In addition, many companies require a minimum standard of English language proficiency, either TOEFL or IELTS standards, when recruiting prospective employees. Moreover English is the medium of communication in the International world of work and proficiency allows one to interact widely with the global community.

PUMA ACC Successfully Holds PUASD 2022

President University Major Association of Accounting (PUMA ACC) successfully held President University Accounting Sport Days (PUASD) 2022  the event lasted one week, 19 – 26 August 2022. PUASD is an annual sporting event organized by PUMA ACC which has been held since 2015. This event is for high school students in the Jabodetabek, Karawang, to Bandung areas. There were two sports that the high school student coulde compete in , namely futsal and basketball. This year's PUASD was attended by more than 200 participants consisting of 12 futsal teams and 8 basketball teams.

After the Covid-19 pandemic, people's lifestyles have changed. For example, in the past, many people liked to exercise in the gym or fitness centers. After the pandemic, more people now prefer to exercise in open spaces. This is also the trend in the restaurant business. Many people now prefer to eat in open places. This was explained by Ie Rina, General Manager of Residential & Commercial Jababeka Residence, during the 2022 Virtual Internship and Career Fair event (VICF), Tuesday (30/8). VICF is a regular event organized by the Bureau of Internship & Career Center (ICC), President University (PresUniv), to bring together students or graduates who are looking for an internship or career with companies that need internship students or wishe to recruit.

PresUniv Offers Best Career for Their Students

President University (PresUniv) offers featured programs that are packaged in "Best Career". This material was delivered directly by Handa S. Abidin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., Vice Rector for Academics, in Pre-University activities at the President University Convention Center (PUCC) building, Tuesday (23/7). In his presentation, Handa explained that students need to worry if they are not yet fluent in English. PresUniv will facilitate the improvement of Students English skills by offering intensive classes managed by the Center for Language and Culture (CLC). This facility is free of charge. Then, there is the Professional Development Center (PDC) which organizes English language courses for affordable prices. “I hope that PresUniv can change your future. ” he said.

VICF 2022: Invosa Offers Internship Opportunities to IT and IS Students

On Monday (29/8), the Bureau of Internship & Career Center (ICC), President University (PresUniv), held a Virtual Internship and Career Fair (VICF) 2022. This time the ICC Bureau featured a presentation by PT Invosa Systems, an information technology consulting company that was established in 2004. Invosa's business is to develop applications and implementations for Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). "We offer this internship opportunity specifically for PresUniv students from the Information Systems and Information Technology Study Program," said Adita, Finance Accounting, Personnel and General Affairs of PT Invosa Systems. He continued, the minimum duration of the internship is four months and can be extended as needed. "If during the internship the student performance is good and Invosa has vacancies, we will immediately ask the student to join us," said Adita.
