President University Held The 6th Annual Conference of President Model United Nations

Cikarang, Indonesia—President University Model United Nations (PUMUN) Club is currently hosting its 6th annual conference of President Model United Nations (PresMUN) 2017 supported by International Relations study program. The event attended by Juliaty Sopacua (SDG Advisor United Nation Development Programme Indonesia), Ghilmansyah Ari (Community Engagement Manager of Youth Corps Indonesia), and Desy Anwar (Senior Anchor and Director of CNN Indonesia). The event will be held from September 13-16, 2017 at Hotel Celecton, Cikarang. As one of the best MUN Conferences in Indonesia, PresMUN has received high enthusiasm from both National and International delegates with 84 delegates of the total more than 200 applicants confirmed, including delegates from Indonesia, Philippines, Nepal, Thailand, Swazi, and Cambodia.

Khansa Aqila One of the President University Students Awarded a Title as Putri Maritime West Sumatera 2017

Padang, Indonesia - Khansa Aqila Ryantono, one of the students in International Relations study programme (Batch 2015) President University, was crowned as the Putri Maritim Sumatera Barat 2017 (26/8) in the event “Putera Puteri Maritime Indonesia Sumatera Barat” held by West Sumatera Maritime Affairs and Fisheries in collaboration with Indonesian Navy, in Padang, West Sumatera. The event was conducted to increase the awareness of the young generation of Indonesia on the world maritime strategic issues and to improve the dedication of Indonesian marine. Khansa was crowned as the winner over the 106 applicants (18-25 years old).

Christy Livie Riessa Wowiling, one of the International Relations students batch 2014 at President University is one of the few students who have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and experience in one of the prestigious governmental institutions, The People’s Consultative Assembly (Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat). She started her internship there since May 19, 2017.

Spread the Joy through Sacrifice: the Athmosphere of Eid Mubarak Al-Adha 1438H in President University

Cikarang, Indonesia – President University Foundation (YPUP) in cooperation with President University Club and Communities Zahirul Ma’ala (ZM) has held an event for celebrating Eid Mubarak Al-Adha 1438H with a theme “Spread the Joy through Sacrifice”. The event aimed to encourage all PresUniv’s civitas academica to do kindness by sharing good things to the people. In this event, the students and staff were working together to slaughter the Qurban animals at Canopy A, President University (4/8). Dr. Jony O. Haryanto, Rector of President University, also attended the event.

Ambassadorial Lectures: British Ambassador Highlights Three Areas to Unlock Indonesia’s Potential

Cikarang, Indonesia—President University hosts His Excellency Ambassador Moazzam Malik, the British Ambassador to Indonesia, ASEAN, and Timor Leste in the open lecture themed "UK-Indonesia Relations Post Brexit" that was held in Charles Himawan Auditorium (6/9). The event attended by Teuku Rezasyah, Ph.D, Dean of School of Humanities President University, Hendra Manurung, S.IP, MA., Head of International Relations Study Program President University, Dindin Dimyati, S.Sos.,M.M., Head of Communication Study Program President University, Marissa Astika, B.Sc., MBA., Director for International Partnerships President University, lecturers, and approximately 263 students are coming to the event. This event is a series of Ambassadorial Lectures organized by President University Major Association of International Relations which is held once a month.

President University Officially Welcomes Six International Students of Darmasiswa Program

Cikarang, Indonesia—Six Awardees of Darmasiswa Scholarship program was officially welcomed to President University by the Vice Rector for Communications and Partnerships, Handa S. Abidin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D and Dr. Maria Jacinta Arquisola, MHRM, Director of Professional Development Center President University who is also in charge as the Co-chairman of Darmasiswa program President University (4/9). The participants were arrived at President University Student Housing on August 31, 2017. They are: Moreblessings Mapolisa (Zimbabwe), My Thao Le (Vietnam), Dominique Nicole Portillo (El Salvador), Salymata Sarr (Senegal), Sahobiddini Mamurboy (Tajikistan), and Flavia Nambooze (Uganda). Coming to campus in their traditional costumes, the participants also signed a scholarship contract explaining their rights and obligations as Awardees and rules and regulations of their study in President University.

The Philosophy of the Indonesian Martial Art “Pencak Silat” that Should be Known by The World

President University, Cikarang - President University will host six foreign students from Zimbabwe, Vietnam, El Salvador, Senegal, Tajikistan, and Uganda, that participated in Darmasiswa program. This is a one-year scholarship programme for foreign students from various countries which have diplomatic relationships with Indonesia to study Bahasa Indonesia, art and culture. This programme is organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC) in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and will start from September 4, 2017, until August 31, 2018.
