PresUniv Wins 2nd Place in Industrial Engineering Competition of Atmajaya (IECA) 2017

Jakarta, Indonesia – President University once again wrote a history in one of the national-scale academic competitions through the Nine Values Team which consists of Jessica Meilina, Kelvin, and Tantyo Edo, the batch 2015 students of Industrial Engineering Study Program, President University who won the second place in Industrial Engineering Competition of Atmajaya (IECA) 2017. They are the youngest team who ever won in this competition and sucessfully overpowered some other reputable universities in Indonesia like University of Indonesia, Gadjah Mada University, and Atmajaya Catholic University. An event that took place in the Atmajaya Catholic University, Semanggi, Jakarta (14/7), was held by Industrial Engineering Students Union of Atmajaya Catholic University. IECA was held as a simulation media to for its participants to face the real competitions in the real world, to build and develop personal abilities, and to increase the mental qualities of the students. There were also two representatives from PT Astra Honda Motor Plant 3 Cikarang who came as cases’ provider and juries in the event.

President University Students Won The Best Essay and Insan Putri Berbudaya in Students Cultural Conference 2017

Bali, Indonesia – Christy Raina Septiningrum Mamesah, a batch 2016 student of Communication Study Programme in President University has once again added another historical milestone. She won two titles on Students Cultural Conference 2017; as Insan Putri Berbudaya (1st place) and The Best Essay predicate. The 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up position were secured by Universitas Udayana Bali and STBA Pontianak. With the theme "Tan Hana Wong Sakti Tinunggal" which means a successful person cannot stand on his/her own, this is an annual event held by Students Union of Universitas Udayana collaborating with Cultural Heralds Bali (Bentara Budaya Bali). The event took place at Bentara Budaya Bali (BBB) on July 7-9, 2017 participated by the total of 36 student delegations from 25 universities all over Indonesia.

Recycling Paper Waste, President University Collaborates with PT Conwood Indonesia

Cikarang, Indonesia — President University hosted PT. Conwood Indonesia in the occasion of agreement handover between the two parties and it’s realization on Tuesday (11/7). Conwood symbolically handed two paper trash banks that will be followed by other 14 to be placed in several spots in President University. This is done as part of the partnership agreement between both parties that was written in the agreement that was signed in May 21, 2017. In this partnership, President University will send all its papers and cartons waste to PT. Conwood Indonesia to be recycled into useful products. The paper trash bank itself is made of cement and cellulose fiber that make them fireproof and anti-termite.

President University Student Plays Angklung in National Events “Bangkit Indonesia"

Jakarta, Indonesia – Christy Raina Septiningrum Mamesah, one of the students in Public Relations study programme (Batch 2016) President University who recently became the top 15 Miss Internet Indonesia 2017, participated in playing angklung instruments in the occasion of national events “Bangkit Indonesia” to commemorate the 109th National Resurgence Day (21/5). The event held by Ministry of Communication and Informatics of Republic Indonesia took place in Bundaran HI, Jakarta. The event was attended by Rudiantara, M.A.P (Minister of Communications and Information), H. Imam Nahrawi, S.Ag (Minister of Youth and Sports), Prof. Dr Muhajir Effendy, M.A.P (Minister of Education and Culture) as the speakers in interactive dialogue. Hundred of participants come from various backgrounds such as students, government, and citizens also attending the event.

Cooperative National Day - Employee’s Cooperative in President University

Cikarang, Indonesia — Many may not aware that in Indonesia, July 12 is commemorated as the National Cooperative Day. The history of the cooperative day commemoration came from the creation of the first cooperative congress in Indonesia, which took place in Tasikmalaya on July 12, 1947 hence commemorated as the National Cooperative Day where Sentral Organisasi Koperasi Rakyat Indonesia (SOKRI) was created. President University, as an international-standard higher education institution in Indonesia, also has a cooperative association for its lecturers and employees.

Lecturer of International Relations Study Programme President University Represented Indonesia in the Ninth Delhi Dialogue in India

New Delhi, India – The Ministry of External Affairs of India invited Prof. Anak Agung Banyu Perwita, one of the lecturers of International Relations Study Programme in President University, to the Ninth Edition of Delhi Dialogue that took place in Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi (July, 4-5). With the theme “Charting the course for India-ASEAN relations for the Next 25 Years”, Prof. Banyu delivered a paper presentation on the current regional politico-security and its impacts to the power management in Asia Pacific. He is one of the only two speakers from Indonesia who have been invited by the Ministry of External Affairs, India.
