President University Wins First Place on FKMHII Scientific Debates Competition

Jakarta, Indonesia - Dimas Rahmat Ilahi (Batch 2015) and Muhammad Ilham Razak (Batch 2016) from International Relations Study Programme of President University won the first place in Communication Forum of Indonesia Students of International Relations (FKMHII) in Scientific Debate of Regional Coordinator (Korwill) II. The event was held at Paramadina University, Jakarta, from 26th-27th, September 2017, with a theme “Creative Youth as The Warrior of Indonesia Diplomacy” President University, defeated 12 universities including Bina Nusantara University (BINUS) who won the second place and Prof. DR. Moestopo University with the third place. This event is aimed to contribute and to build the awareness of the student of International Relations that should be able to express a logical argument, straightforward, and certainly acceptable to the interlocutors.

President University Secures One Gold and Four Silver Medals in Pakubumi Open Martial Arts Championship III

Bandung, Indonesia—President University (PresUniv) secured five medals in total on a Pencak Silat (Indonesian Martial Arts) competition “Pakubumi Open Championship III”, Asia and Europe level that was held in Padjajaran and Trilomba Juang Sport Hall, Bandung, on September 30 until October 1, 2017. PresUniv won one gold medal in category A (45-50 kg) by Gebby Maurizka Lembah (International Relations batch 2015) and 4 silver medals won by Shinta Dwi Ranti (Computer Information System batch 2017) category B (50-55 kg), M. Nur Rahmat (Industrial Engineering batch 2017) category C (55-60 kg), M. Wahyu Ramadhani (Electrical Engineering batch 2013) category D (60-65 kg), and Alfian Kurnia Musdar Santo (International Relations batch 2015) Category F (70-75 kg).

President University Students Wins the Second Place in Business Law Competition 2017

Jakarta, Indonesia – Selly Marcelina, Suherlin, and Wiwin Widianingsih are batch 2015 students from Law study programme of President University who won the second winner in Battle of Brains of Business Law Competition (BCL 2017). The event was held at the Law Building of Universitas Indonesia, from 21st- 25th September 2017, with a theme “The Growth of Aviation Industry in the Eyes of Business Law" this event aimed to gain more knowledge in business law, especially in Aviation Law. Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Diponegoro University (UNDIP), State Islamic University (UIN), Trisakti University, Bina Nusantara University (BINUS), Pelita Harapan University (UPH), Sebelas Maret University (UNS), and Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) also sent their representatives to this event.

Bekasi, Indonesia—Three President University students namely Novela Permata Sari (International Relations 2015), Denisa Amelia Kawuryan (International Relations 2015), and Bryan Johanes Rengkung (Information Technology 2015) successfully won third place in “Kompetisi Pemikiran Kritis Mahasiswa” organized by Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Ristekdikti) Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with Universitas Mercubuana (26-27/9). The event took place in Hotel Horison, Bekasi.

Cikarang, Indonesia—President University hosted Dr. Ir. Arief Yahya, M.Sc., Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia in the Presidential Lecture event titled "Indonesian Tourism & Entrepreneurship: Between Local Business Creation and Global Competition" and held at Charles Himawan Auditorium, President University (25/9). The event was hosted by Dwi Larso, Ph.D, Vice Rector for Academic, President University, and attended by Dr. H.M Ahman Sya, Deputy for Institutional Development of Tourism, hotel general managers, some businessman from several companies around Jababeka area, and more than 400 lecturers and students.

Dr. Ir. B.M.A.S. Anaconda Bangkara: Winning Awards in Two International Conferences in One Day

Bandung, Indonesia—On Thursday (7/9) there were two international conferences that was being held in Bandung. One was be the International Conference on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Small Business (IICIES) by School of Business and Management Institute of Technology Bandung (SBM-ITB), while the other was the 2nd Indonesia Multidisciplinary Studies Research International Conference (IMSRIC) by International Postgraduate Network (IPN) Malaysia. One of the lecturers from School of Business in President University, Dr. Ir. B.M.A.S. Anaconda Bangkara, MT., MSM. (also known as Dr. Ienjo), achieved awards from those two conferences in a day. He received the Best Paper Award in IICIES and the Best Presenter Award in IMSRIC.

President University Debate Team Reaches Quarter-Finals in NUDC

Semarang, Indonesia—President University (PresUniv) debate team reached the quarter final of the National University Debate Championship (NUDC) organized by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (3-8/9). Being held in Universitas PGRI Semarang, Central Java, PresUniv ranked 14th out of 112 nationwide teams competed in the event. The PresUniv team consists of three students: Natalie Gabrielle Wilhelmina Peleh (International Relations 2015), Nadya (Communications 2015), and Nabilla (Communications 2015). This is the first time for PresUniv to participate in NUDC.
