72nd National Independence Day: PresUniv Commited to be Free from Corruption, Drugs, and Radicalism

Cikarang, Indonesia — President University commemorated the 72nd Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia that was marked on August 17, 2017 with a ceremony that was held in front of the University’s building. Attended the ceremony, there were approximately 1000 people from various backgrounds in President University Foundation, ranging from University, President Senior and Junior High School, President Elementary School, and President Special Needs Center. Also attended the event, the employees of Jababeka Infrastructure, Jababeka Golf and Outbond, and Jababeka Security Corps.

PresUniv: Hosting 30 International Students from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University of Japan for Internship Immersion Programme in 2018

Cikarang, Indonesia – International Partnership Office of President University has hosted a meeting with Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) of Japan. The meeting was held on Tuesday (1/8) at President University, Cikarang and attended by three representatives from APU, Prof. Otake Toshitsugu (Dean of International Management of APU), Nakamua Nobuhiro (Manager of the Academic Office of APU), and Miwa Hitoshi (Internship coordinator in the Academic Office of APU). The purpose of the meeting is to implement the MoU that has already signed last year on July 2016 about the APU – PresUniv internship immersion programme.

Darmasiswa Scholarships: Studying Bahasa Indonesia and Indonesian Culture, Six International Students for A Year in President University

Cikarang, Indonesia—President University was chosen as one of the host universities for Darmasiswa Scholarship program organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republic of Indonesia (Mendikbud) in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Indonesia. President University will host six students from various countries; Moreblessings Mapolisa (Zimbabwe), My Thao Le (Vietnam), Dominique Nicole Portillo (El Salvador), Salimata Sarr (Senegal), Sahobiddini Mamurboy (Tajikistan), and Flavia Nambooze (Uganda). The participants are expected to arrive at 27-29 August 2017 and will join the Darmasiswa Orientation Program at 30 August 2017 held by Mendikbud.

Nationalism Workshop by President University Gave Birth to ABG

Cikarang, Indonesia - President University hosts the Sarasehan and Halal Bi-halal with a theme of Nationalism, facilitated by the Founder of President University and PT Jababeka Group, SD Darmono (25/7). The event was held at D'Khayangan, Cikarang, and was attended by approximately 85 invited guests from forums of university chancellors, businessmen, and the government in Indonesia. This event aims to enrich the results of the discussion that can be used as input for the relevant parties to assist the development progress of the nation.

President University Students Gives Education on Media Literacy in Preventing Hoax

Bekasi, Indonesia – The increase of hoax news dissemination in the ‘tsunami era’ of information are very apprehensive. On top of that, the high number of people who are not yet able to criticize an information can give more chances to hoax dissemination. Being aware of this, Communication Study Programme in President University is moved to give education to the public through a media literacy campaign in various schools in Bekasi and its surroundings.

President University Grants Scholarships to Three Pesantren in Bekasi

Cikarang, Indonesia – On Thursday (20/7), Dr. Jony O. Haryanto, Rector of President University signed an agreement for granting scholarships in President University with three Yayasan Pendidikan Pesantren in Bekasi; Yayasan Pesantren Attaqwa, Perguruan Islam El Nur El Kasysyaf (YAPINK), and Islamic Education Institute Al-Baqiyatusholihak (YASPIA). President University will grant full and partial (70%) scholarships for best Santris graduated from those Pesantrens.

PresUniv’s Internationalization: More Taiwanese are Expected to Come to President University

Cikarang, Indonesia – President University welcomed 20 important guests from Taiwan (26/7), amongst them were Dr. Jiang, Yi-Huah, the Chairman of Fair Winds Foundation, who was also the Former Premier of Executive Yuan, Dr. Yen, Kuang-Shih, the President of Fair Winds Foundation (Former Minister of Transportation and Communications), Andrew Hsia, Director of Fair Winds Foundation (Former Chairman of Mainland Affairs Council), Jaclyn Tsai, Director of Fair Winds Foundation (Former Minister without Portfolio), and Dr. Wei, Kuo-Yen, Consultant of Fair Winds Foundation (Former Minister of the Environmental Protection Administration). Hosted by Handa S. Abidin, Vice Rector for Communication and Partnerships of President University, the visit talked on how both parties could establish stronger partnerships in the future.

15th Dies Natalis President University Puppet Show "Bima Sakti": President University is Not an "Ivory Tower"

Cikarang, Indonesia - President University is also celebrating its 15th Dies Natalis on July 22, 2017. President University held Wayang Performance titled “Bima Sakti” to celebrate its anniversary on April. The event took place at President University and performed by Ki Radyo Harsono as the puppeteer. Aside of the leaders of Jababeka and President University, distinguished guests from several embassies in Indonesia, government officials, and all elements of President University are also invited to the event.
