Students of the undergraduate course in Corporate Entrepreneurship 3 conducted a Corporate Social Responsibility project by taking the concept “From Nothing to Something”. The project was held on Sunday, 14 July 2019 at Gema Insani Amanah Foundation in order to enhance in-depth understanding of the student about CSR through direct practice.
According to Dr. Dra. Genoveva, M.M., the coordinator of supervisor for subject Corporate Entrepreneurship 3, this activity is a series of Corporate Entrepreneurship Courses. In 4th semester, students learn the theory of how to make a Business through Corporate Entrepreneur 1, the business implementation was held on the 5th semester through Corporate Entrepreneur 2 and the profit was allocated for CSR activities in the 6th semester through Corporate Entrepreneurship 3.
She emphasized that this project not only deepened students’ understanding of CSR practices but also sharpened the creativity of orphanage children at the Gema Insani Amanah Foundation. According to her, this CSR teaches the orphanage’s children of the Gema Insani Amanah the process of making a handy craft that will be traded online on an ongoing basis and the profits will be returned to the foundation’s operational cost.
The representative of Yayasan Gema Insani Amanah Bapak Astra has also attended the project. He monitored the handy craft making processes. “I hope these activities can motivate the children of Yayasan Gema Insani Amanah to be more creative and use their spare time for useful activities such as handy crafts making,” he said.
Mahasiswa peserta mata kuliah spesialisasi Corporate Entrepreneurship 3 menggelar project Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) dengan tema “One Sweet Day”. Project ini berlangsung pada Minggu, 14 Juli 2019 bertempat di Yayasan Gema Insani Amanah dengan tujuan memperdalam pemahaman mahasiswa tentang CSR malalui pratek langsung di lapangan.
Menurut koordinator tim pengampu mata kuliah Corporate Entrepreneurship 3 Dr. Dra. Genoveva, M.M. yang sekaligus membuka kegiatan tersebut, kegiatan ini merupakan rangkaian dari mata kuliah Corporate Entrepreneurship. Pada semester 4, mahasiswa belajar teori pembuatan Business Plan melalui Corporate Entrepreneurship 1, implementasi bisnis dilaksanakan pada semester 5 melalui Corporate Entrepreneurship 2 dan profit dari bisnis dialokasikan untuk kegiatan CSR pada semester 6 melalui Corporate Entreprenership 3.
Ia menekankan bahwa project ini tidak hanya memperdalam pemahaman mahasiswa dalam praktek CSR, tetapi juga mengasah kreativitas anak-anak panti asuhan di Yayasan Gema Insani Amanah. Menurutnya CSR ini mengajarkan anak-anak panti asuhan Gema Insani Amanah proses pembuatan kerajinan tangan yang akan diperjualbelikan online secara berkelanjutan dan keuntungannya akan dikembalikan untuk biaya operasional yayasan.
Project tersebut juga dihadiri langsung oleh Perwakilan Yayasan Gema Insani Amanah Bapak Astra. Ia meninjau langsung proses pembuatan kerajinan tangan yang dibimbing oleh 3-4 mahasiswa untuk setiap kelompok. “Harapan saya kegiatan seperti ini dapat memotivasi anak-anak Yayasan Gema Insani Amanah untuk lebih kreatif dan memanfaatkan waktu luangnya untuk kegiatan yang bermanfaat seperti pembuatan kerajinan tangan” ujarnya.
