Partnership Office of President University has received a great opportunity from Teikyo University, Japan which enable six President University students from Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering study program to join the Sakura Science Program. The program runs for 8 days and is an opportunity for students to learn about Japanese Technology.

The participants were selected students to learn mechanical and precision system engineering. Moreover, the plane tickets and accommodation are covered by Teikyo University. The students will also be given pocket money during their stay throughout the program. "We hope for this program to continue and every year there will be Indonesian students studying in Japan and vice versa. Furthermore, I hope that students who take part in this program can continue their higher education at Teikyo University," said Lydia Anggaraini, one of President University lecturer who also accompany the participants in Japan.

According to Marissa N. Astika, the Director of Partnership Office, the Sakura Science Program is a great opportunity for President University students to learn about Japanese Technology directly from the experts in the particular field. “We are very proud that President University has managed to secure a spot for this year’s Sakura Science Program. We hope that this will be the first of many to come,” said Marissa.

Biro Kerja Sama President University berhasil mendapatkan beasiswa Sakura Science Program dari Teikyo University, Jepang untuk 6 orang mahasiswa President University dari program studi  Teknik Informatika dan Teknik Mesin. Program tersebut berlangsung selama 8 hari untuk memberi kesempatan bagi peserta untuk belajar mengenai teknologi di Jepang.

Peserta merupakan mahasiswa terpilih yang secara khusus akan mempelajari teknik mesin dan teknik sistem presisi. Selain itu, para peserta diberikan tiket pesawat, akomodasi dan uang saku dari Teikyo University. “Harapan kedepan untuk program ini bisa terus berlanjut, setiap tahun ada mahasiswa Indonesia yang belajar ke Jepang dan ada mahasiswa Jepang yang belajar di Indonesia. Kemudian, saya harap untuk mahasiswa yang mengikuti program ini tahun ini dapat melanjutkan pendidikan yang lebih tinggi di Teikyo University,” Ungkap Lydia Anggaraini, salah satu dosen President University yang juga turut mendampingi para penerima beasiswa.

Menurut Marissa N. Astika, Direktur Biro Kerja Sama, Program Sakura Science adalah kesempatan besar bagi mahasiswa President University untuk belajar tentang Teknologi Jepang langsung dari para ahli di bidangnya. “Kami sangat bangga bahwa President University telah berhasil mendapatkan tempat untuk Program Sakura Science tahun ini. Kami berharap ini akan menjadi yang pertama dari banyak yang akan datang,” kata Marissa.
