Jakarta, Indonesia — President University through its lecturers has successfully secured the first place in the Ary Suta Center Paper Competition 2017 themed “The True Colors of a Great Nation” on Wednesday (12/4) at Ritz Carlton Hotel, Jakarta. Team consists of two: Prof. Anak Agung Banyu Perwita, Ph.D, and Dr. phil. Reza Alexander Antonius Wattimena, S.S., M.Hum, both are the lecturers of International Relations Study Program of President University represented the international university located in Jababeka. Their winning paper was titled ‘Tolerance and Education: Developing Tolerance as A Way of Life to Create A Great Nation’. With this achievement, President University has won the first place for this paper competition three times in a row.

Participants are coming from academicians and education practitioners from different cities in Indonesia. There are approximately 50 papers submitted to this competition, however only 10 papers successfully reached the final session. After passing the presentation and Question & Answer session, three winning team were finally chosen and their paper will be published on the ASC Series on Strategic Management Journal. The winners of this paper competition received trophy, certificate, and cash. 

“ASC Paper Competition is an interesting and well organized event. Participants are well provided and the judges are an experts who are coming from various fields”, said Reza.

The final events is in unison with the celebration of 9th Anniversary of Ary Suta Center which attended by distinguished guests such as Wiranto, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affair, former ministers, and businessmen.

ASC is a think-tank established by I Putu Gede Ary Suta that focused on strategic management and leadership development in Indonesia.

“We hope this could inspire all elements in President University to be more active joining various events and competitions. ASC Paper Competition for me is one of the good events and they are hoping that there will be more participants from President University”, said Banyu. (SL)
