“I like the color of the stained glass, it is different with the stainless one which is pure and flawless. The stained glass is purposely stained; sometime the glass looks very ugly, the surface is not even but the worse the surface the more beautiful the reflection from it. I was in Istanbul and was very amazed. It triggered me to do glass business based on merely hobby. Nobody did that (stained glass business) at that time so I was the very first who brought back the long forgotten art that lost in the Second World War that was brought by the Dutch to Indonesia in the 1920s”, said Brian.

Brian shared that he knows nothing about glass making process at the first time, but he keep on learning. He added that the most important thing to start a business is a good idea, strong willingness, and a good attitude. There is no need to think too much about money once you have those points. He also suggests to know what are your capabilities every human being is born with a talent.

The audiences were enthusiastic toward the topic which can be seen by the number of students asking questions to the speaker. The performance from Dua Band also added festive atmosphere to the event.

“This is a good event. Brian delivered the material with understandable and straightforward words. He brought essential things that an entrepreneur should have beside skill and ability, which are strong mentality and integrity. I hope that the students will grow with a good mentality. Skill doesn’t need much time to be learnt, but mentality need longer time to be shaped”, said Andira. (SL)
